4th class recently visited Visual Art Centre Carlow and Carlow County Museum. The boys enjoyed examining the work of Irish artist Clíodhna Timoney and responding to her art work by creating their own sculpture pieces as part of an art workshop. We also had great fun in Carlow County Museum where we learned about life in the past in County Carlow. We got to examine and learn about shops, houses and schools in the past as well as learning about businesses and factories such as Carlow Sugar Factory. It was a very informative and interesting visit and would be well worth another visit with parents and grandparents as a cost-free family day out!
