It’s that time of year when we say goodbye to our 6th class.  They were a pleasure to have in the school and a credit to their families.  We wish them well in secondary school.  The boys received their Confirmation on 2nd of April.

Preschool A.S.D. Classes:  We had a fantastic last term in the preschool this year. We went to The Big Blue Barn on our school tour and it proved a great success.  We have also visited our local park throughout the year.  We would also like to sincerely thank those who donated toys and resources to the preschool this year. They have been put to great use! We are sad to say goodbye to 7 of our pre-schoolers who are leaving to go to other schools in September. We wish all the best to Jacob, Niamh B, Patrick, Alfie, Paddy, Logan and Niamh C. in their new schools.

Congratulations to the 2nd class boys on receiving their First Holy Communion on May 14th. Many thanks to their teacher Mrs Keogh and the parents who helped to prepare them for their special day.

Well done to all classes who participated in the Primary Science and Maths Award.  Our school received a plaque for all the effort that the boys put in during the year.  A special word of thanks to Mrs Keogh for collecting the information and applying for the award.

Beth spoke to the classes about how creating biodiversity and sustainability are two essential parts of our responsibility here on earth.

We were delighted to take part in Creative Schools Week which ran from 9th – 13th May 2022. As part of the celebration we invited Konor Halpin to the school to provide Circus Skills workshops to all the pupils. The children had an opportunity to engage with multiple new skills including plate spinning, juggling and much much more. Many thanks to the Parents Council for funding this creative experience for the school.
